چکیده

XREFdb supports the investigation of protein function in the context of information available through work in multiple organisms. In addition to facilitating the association of functional data among known genes from multiple organisms, XREFdb has developed strategies that provide access to information associated with as-yet unstudied genes. The database organizes protein similarity and genetic map positional information from diverse sources in the public domain to facilitate investigator evaluation of potential functional significance. XREFdb is found at URL www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/XREFdb

Data Mining for Identification of Forkhead Box O (FOXO3a) in Different Organisms Using Nucleotide and Tandem Repeat Sequences

Background: Deregulation of FOXO3a gene which belongs to Forkhead box O (FOXO) transcription factors, can cause cancer (e.g. breast cancer). FOXO factors have important role in ubiquitination, acetylation, de-acetylation, protein-protein interactions and phosphorylation. Understanding the regulation and mechanisms of FOXO3a can lead to cancer treatment. The aim of this study recent association...

Circular RNA: features, functions and their correlation with diseases especially cancer

In early 2012, the world of science saw a fascinating discovery called circular RNA as a transcription product of thousands of genes in mice and humans. These circular RNAs have recently been grouped as the encoding RNA in an independent group that their remarkable difference with other RNAs is that these RNAs are not linear, in which two ends connect with a covalent connection creating a loop-...

O-44: Characterisation of Monotreme CaseinsReveals Lineage Specific Expansion of an AncestralCasein Locus in Mammals

Background: One important reproductive characteristic of Mammals is the production of milk to nurse the neonate. In order to better understand the evolution of milk we have investigated gene expression in milk cells from monotremes which are the most ancient representative of the mammalian lineage. Materials and Methods: Using a milk cell cDNA sequencing approach we characterise milk protein se...
